NaNoWriMo 2009!!
Four more days to go! Four more days!!
*hyperventilates*
I can't believe how fast time has been passing lately. As far as preparation goes, I'm almost ready for the big day. All of my lead characters are revealing themselves to me, even if I did have to do a lot of coaxing with one. I also have a basic outline typed up. Over the next few days I intend to flesh it out as much as I can, including all the subplots. And just to be safe I want to write up character profiles for all my leads. Two of them could stand to have better names, so that's also on my to-do list.
On a related note, while browsing the NaNoWriMo forums, I found a thread asking how participants planned to start the marathon. I hadn't put much thought into this, but some of the replies really inspired me to make the first day as memorable as possible.
I'll be going to church early Sunday; so that limits my options. None the less I do think I'll stay up till midnight, reading a book and listening to music that will inspire me. I'll make any last minute preperations, and then when the clock strikes twelve, I'll do my best to hammer out as many words as possible. 2000 is optimistic, but certainly a total I would like to aim for.
